I love me some Broadway musicals!

Yes, it's true; ever since i was little, watching Disney movies

with my sister i have always loved musicals!

I have seen about 6 profesional shows live!

All which are amazing! Well, Cats was kinda weird.

But im hoping to see soooo much more shows this year and next!

Pantages Theatre, Ahmanson Theatre,

and the Orange County Performing Arts Center

are having some great shows in 09/10!!

Soo, i wanna see these:

Mkay one of my fav websites is http://lookbook.nu/,

prob one of the biggest fashion websites ever!

It's full of really trendy and artsy fashion,

which i absolutely love!

What i have noticed is that a trend is to wear

cocktail/party dresses with some nice shoes,

and have it as an "everyday" style.

At first i was like ehhhhh, but the more i see it,

the more i like.

new fav movies

Sometimes, it takes me awhile to see movies

and sometimes it doesn't.

But these two movies i have been dying to see even before they came out.

The first one was Rent.

This movie is based on the Broadway musical of the same name,

and tells the story of bohemians in NYC trying to pay rent

and live their lives as most of them struggle with AIDS and HIV.

I have never seen the show live but only the screening of the last

Broadway performance, which was filmed; and i loved it.

And i finally got to see this and fell in love with the film version.

It is a little different than the show, but the vibe of that show is still captured in the movie!

And the music is just amazing!

The next movie was Across The Universe.

I love the Beatles and so i was pretty excited,

but my parentals can be strict with movies so i didn't get to see it.

But i saw it and freakn loved it!

I wanna be a hippie now cause of it,

since its about young people striving to bring peace to country,

as it struggles in the Vietnam War.

And of course, its full of Beatles song, making it such a unique movie musical.

What also makes it unique is how the message of the songs fit so perfectly

with the situation in the movie.

Except the parts when they're high scares me!

One of the newest movies to come out this summer was Public Enemies,

and i got to see it!

I was actually pretty dissapointed in this film!

Johnny Depp was great as the character.

But the film just lacked info for some reason.

Christian Bale's character wasn't that great and actually bored me.
I still thought the movie was good in a way, but I expected alot more saldy.

'Cause this is Thriller!

So, its been about 3 weeks that MJ has past away.

And of course a lot of people are already tired of hearing about it

and stuff like that.

But one thing i have noticed that is still up and going rite now,

are tribute/acoustic/medley versions of MJ songs

on YouTube.

I think theyre pretty cool and i love it!

The people who have done it are very good and pretty talented!

So, whoever you are who does it, keep doing it cause his songs

are amazing!

Another blog in one day?

O goodness me haha!

Let me first start off with a book review.

Im usually not a book person,

but this summer i decided to read more.

The first book i just finished was

They made it into a movie in 2008 and starred Kate Winslet,

who got an Oscar award for her role as Hanna.

I havn't seen the movie yet but i really want to.

But i decided to read it first and omg this book is amazing!

It has a 15 year old boy who has an affair with an older woman,

and it has effected both their lives.

This book was soooo good, and is such a great piece of literature!

Other than great pieces of literature,

i have a new video i have made.

It is from my youth group drama club, VRDC.

It is an improv game we came up with awhile ago

and has become a fav, and it is called:

Yesterday, i went to the Walt Disney Concert Hall for the first time!

It is such a beautiful concert hall!

So much detail in the architecture, ahhh so gorgeous!

Anyways, my parentals got tix for my fam and i to go see the

California Philharmonic and The Fab Four.

(it was a Beatles show)

Well, the first half was just music pieces by Bach,

the Broadway musical La Cage Aux Folles,

and some new music.

It was pretty but i wanted Beatles!

Finally, after the intermission, The Fab Four (a tribute band to the Beatles) came out and played Beatles songs with the orchestra.

In my opinion, im not a fan of impersonators or bands like that.

But these guys were actually really good!!

It was such a fun show singing along, standing up, clapping; i had alot of fun!

Sooo, if it ever comes back or anything like that, go see it!

And on August 23, there is going to be a night of Broadway's Best!

Its the same orchestra and they include Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, Die Fledermaus, Merry Widow, and Gypsy!

I wanna go cause i love Wicked, Hairspray, and Gypsy!

Not so much for Mamma Mia!, and i have never heard of Die Fledermaus and Merry Widow.

But i still wanna go and tix can be like $20!

Whhhaaaa?

ok, so of course the big news for the past couple of weeks has been Michael Jackson.

And i am sad he's gone, he was a great performer with amazing music and dance moves!

And the memorial was very touching!

(i cried a couple times)

O and good job to josh, kala, and linda who were in the choir for that :D

(they go to my church!)

but other than the news of where he's gonna be buried and who's getting the kids,

there has been accidental footage of MJ's ghost caught on CNN.

i heard this through a friend and thought it was totally fake!

but i decided to google it and then youtube it.

and one video was the one at Neverland Ranch, where MJ lived before.

The reporter is talking with another person in a room and the cam looks down the hall and captures some kind of dark shadow walking by.

I put a link to it right here, but before u watch it, it is a little creepy, and the person who has this vid made it scary with this music towards the end!

like i watched in the daytime and still scared the crap out of me!!

SOOOO, the first vid was actually believable but still not sure wat it was.

but the second one to me was kinda not believable.

I sortof believe in ghosts but i dont at the same time!

(i kno its weird and confusing)

but i kinda think this could be just another way to keep MJ's passing alive to the media!

Summer is here!

...well has been here!

and a bunch of shows are off season

but there has been some new shows out lately!

2 shows i absolutely LOVE!

and one show coming back!

ok, bravo basically came out with a reality tv version of gossip girl !

(which is a fav of mine!)

its these bratty high schoolers going to parties,

hooking up,

crying cause someone's a bitch or whore,

and i freakn LOVE IT!

the two guys are complete douches and

and some of the girls are ok but the rest are annoying!

but its hilarious just how dumb they are and dont kno the real world!

(couldnt find a pic of this show :/ )

but the great debate on VH1

and its such a funny but helpful show!

my friends and i always argue who's better or worse

and this show is basically that but with VH1 people!

some of the topics are soooo true that it makes it awesome!

go watch it!

yes, it is coming back!!

this is one of my fav shows EVER and im so excited!

i was sad when it was off air for like a long time cause the debate whether

it would be on Lifetime or Bravo.

sadly, it will be on Lifetime in August

but its gonna be at FIDM in Los Angeles!!

so im pretty happy!

Ok, a friend of mine sent me this link to hulu of a vid of Neil Patrick Harris.

It's titled Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

I wasn't sure what it was but he said i would enjoy it.

It's 45 mins long and divided into "3-acts".

Sadly, i've only seen the first one so far, but i must say this is done so well!

I thought it was hilarious and Neil is hilarious as the title character.

SOO, i need to make sure to finish it soon!

Basically, it's about a "villian" who tries to act powerful but is just a nerd!

And he has a love interest, but strives to get her to notice him.

(That's all i know so far :/
