new fav movies

Sometimes, it takes me awhile to see movies

and sometimes it doesn't.

But these two movies i have been dying to see even before they came out.

The first one was Rent.

This movie is based on the Broadway musical of the same name,

and tells the story of bohemians in NYC trying to pay rent

and live their lives as most of them struggle with AIDS and HIV.

I have never seen the show live but only the screening of the last

Broadway performance, which was filmed; and i loved it.

And i finally got to see this and fell in love with the film version.

It is a little different than the show, but the vibe of that show is still captured in the movie!

And the music is just amazing!

The next movie was Across The Universe.

I love the Beatles and so i was pretty excited,

but my parentals can be strict with movies so i didn't get to see it.

But i saw it and freakn loved it!

I wanna be a hippie now cause of it,

since its about young people striving to bring peace to country,

as it struggles in the Vietnam War.

And of course, its full of Beatles song, making it such a unique movie musical.

What also makes it unique is how the message of the songs fit so perfectly

with the situation in the movie.

Except the parts when they're high scares me!

One of the newest movies to come out this summer was Public Enemies,

and i got to see it!

I was actually pretty dissapointed in this film!

Johnny Depp was great as the character.

But the film just lacked info for some reason.

Christian Bale's character wasn't that great and actually bored me.
I still thought the movie was good in a way, but I expected alot more saldy.
